Updates & Announcements (last updated 05/15/2008)

Special Announcements

  • In determining which classes each judge you have hired will preside over, keep in mind that judges approved at a higher level may be used to judge a lower level (e.g., a masters judge may judge starters classes). In fact, some judges appreciate this opportunity. Note that this will often provide more flexibility in scheduling, especially where the same titling classes are offered each day of an event. This is particularly important to starters and advanced competitors who have requirements on the number of judges under which qualified for titling purposes.
  • Rules & Course Design clinic schedule (forms available through Forms & Documents Library): A two-day Continuing Education clinic is scheduled for August 2-3 in Boca Raton, FL (no testing) and August 9 & 10 in Columbus, OH (no testing). Fee for these clinics is $200. Check Event Calendar.
  • Anyone interested in hosting or participating in a clinic should contact the USDAA office.
  • With the addition of judges from Mexico, Costa Rica, Bermunda, Guatemala and Spain, it is important for clubs to be aware of every judge's home location. Several judges from other countries have a local mailing address. Confirm with a judge if you're not sure.
