Last Day to Enter Our Contest!

If you want to win a copy of The Dog Diet, A Memoir, by Patti Lawson, this is your last chance!

The deadline to enter our handler health tip contest is midnight, Eastern Daylight Time, tonight. So if you'd like to win a free, autographed copy of The Dog Diet, A Memoir, by Patti Lawson, send in your tips on diet, exercise, stretching, or any other health-related topics that will help USDAA handlers get -and stay - fit.  Send those tips to bfender@usdaa.com along with your name and address, and be aware that submitting the tip gives us the right to print it in all media.  You get one entry per tip so send more than one!

You can read more about the contest and the book you might win here and here.

Need some more inspiration?  Check out this tip, sent in by Robin Nutall of Columbia, Missouri:

Balance. It's essential for grace and recovery in agility and can help prevent injury on uneven ground. Stand on one foot. Bring the opposite knee up toward the chin, then rotate it out to the side, opening the leg/hip as if trying to touch your knee to the opposite hand. Leaving the kneee there, extend the leg and point the toe toward the ground (without actually touching it), finally sweeping the leg back in and starting over. Do not touch the foot to the ground or use a wall for support. Start with 10 reps on each side and work up to one minute on each side.
