The latest happenings at USDAA...
The group services area is up and running, and log-in credentials have been emailed out to about 60% of the group representatives at this time. It is an ongoing process and should be complete by Wednesday, February 17. There have been some problems with email addresses during this process. If your representative doesn't receive credentials by Wednesday, please contact the office and make sure that we have the correct representative name and email address on file. You may email us at email@example.com or call us at 972.487.2200, x101.
The Group Services area will require a gradual transition between manual and electronic forms, so as you look for event information, some test schedules will still be available as PDFs and others will be electronic. Over the next six months, expect to see fewer PDFs and more electronic forms. Please be patient as all our groups will need time to get acclimated to using the new system.
In our last update, we mentioned that some job reassignments were under evaluation because of all the changes to the Web site. The first such change is that Heather Smith is now the point of contact regarding all event filings. This will put all the pre-event work under one person's responsibility. Tev Brannan will be freed up to spend more time on titles and dog registrations. And as an additional note, titles through December 31 will be calculated this week. Titles calculated last month (through October 31) are in the process of being mailed. The backlog from the database changeover in October was sizable, so it will take a couple more weeks to finish distribution. Batches are being mailed as soon as they are prepped for posting.
The electronic scoring policy is being finalized this week. Groups should check the Group News page for more information as it becomes available. A post will also be made to the public and Subscriber News pages.
The Performance Top 10 is now available to Subscribers (see Regional Top Ten listings in the Subscriber area), and it is coming soon to the Awards page at http://www.usdaa.com/awards_topten.cfm.
Plans are moving forward for Cynosport® in October and further details should be forthcoming by end of February.
