International Federation of Cynological Sports and USDAA announce the dates and venue for the 2012 IFCS World Agility Championships.
The 2012 IFCS World Agility Championships will be held in Fort Worth, Texas, May 11-13, 2012, at the Watt Arena at the Will Rogers Equestrian Center in the heart of the Fort Worth Cultural District. The facility has played host to USDAA's South Central Regional Championships for the past few years.

USDAA, IFCS representative in the United States, will serve as host for the event. Greg Fontaine has been named Event Chair, and Janet Gauntt will serve as Event Secretary.
A website dedicated to the IFCS World Agility Championships will be established in the next few weeks where event updates and other information can be found. The event is planned to be streamed on Cynosport.TV.
The location will be an ideal place to host the event. "We are fortunate to find an available weekend at this great site," said USDAA President Kenneth Tatsch. The facility has historically been fully booked, but has become available as a result of considerable expansion undertaken over the past year.
The International Federation of Cynological Sports (IFCS) has hosted a World Agility Championship on a bi-annual basis (every other year) since 2002. Nations from across the world field teams of up to twelve competitors to represent their country going for the gold medal. The 2012 event was awarded to the United States by the IFCS General Council. In the twenty-five plus year history of dog agility in the United States, this is the first time such a world team agility event has ever been hosted in the United States. Past events have been held in Russia, Spain, The Netherlands, Belgium and the UK.
Says Tatsch, "We will be seeking support from sponsors, vendors and volunteers to make this the best IFCS event yet." Anyone interested in helping with the event should contact the USDAA office at email@example.com.
