Event secretary Helen McNenly updates competitors on the entry process.
The North American tournament season is now over and entries for the upcoming Cynosport World Games in Murfreesboro, Tennessee are due THIS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2013. They must be RECEIVED by this date! I can not take late entries! Please write USDAA or Cynosport on the envelope because I have three other trials open at this point as well.
You may scan your entry and email it to me if you are paying by credit card. Send to firstname.lastname@example.org
Just a few reminders:
You must be qualified in two of the four tournaments to be eligible for this year's Cynosport. You don't have to enter two, but you must be qualified in at least two.
To be qualified in each tournament, you need:
- Grand Prix/Performance Grand Prix - two qualifying scores (either from local trial or round 1 at a regional)
- Steeplechase/Performance Speed Jumping - two qualifying scores (either from local trial or round 1 at a regional)
- Dog Agility Masters Team/Performance Versatility Pairs - one qualifying score
- Biathlon - EITHER a semifinal bye in each of GP/PGP and STP/PSJ OR one qualifying score in either Master Challenge Standard or Master Challenge Jumpers earned after
- January 1, 2013.
Unlike at a regional event, if you earned a semifinal bye, you may not enter the quarterfinals at Cynosport. If you do, you negate your semifinal bye and must qualify out of the quarters.
Send in your entry today even if you have not firmed up your team or don't have a team name yet! I won't be pairing up all of the draw dogs until I have all of the entries in the computer and the regional in Mexico is over. You will have a little time after that to come up with a team name (your chance to be creative!)
Crating - I will be assigning a number to each crating reservation and those will be assigned as I open each envelope. The crating coordinator will be assigning stalls on a first come, first served basis (i.e. from front of main building on back, and into next building if necessary) and will accommodate proximity requests as much as possible. Envelopes are being processed in the order that I receive them, first come, first served. If you are going to sharing a stall with a friend, it will be easier to have the full stall reserved on one person's entry rather than a half stall on each entry. That way you are guaranteed to be together! If you have already sent your entries with two half stalls, don't worry, we have noted each request if you put it on your crating reservation form.
I have two lists on my website (www.dognutmom.com) for "Entries On Hand" and "Entries Processed." If you are on the Entries On Hand list, you are "in." If you are on the Entries Processed list and did NOT receive a preliminary confirmation, double check your spam/junk mail folders - you may need to set your email to be able to receive email from email@example.com as there will be several emails between now and the actual event.
The test schedule is available in the regular events section on www.usdaa.com and I also have a copy on my site: www.dognutmom.com.
See you at Cynosport!
