Elicia Calhoun, Team USA Profile

Learn more about this IFCS World Agility Championships Team USA competitor.

Elicia Calhoun and her five-year-old Border Collie, Tobie, live in Paradise Valley, Arizona, where Elicia is a full-time agility trainer and coach. She and Tobie will be presenting Team USA in the 26" jump height division.

Elicia has been competing for over 20 years and has been a top competitor both nationally and internationally for the majority of her career. Her goals for the event are to be on the podium and to have fun both on and off the course.

Tobie is a celebrity in her own right. Two years ago while traveling home from a trial, Elicia, Tobie and her five other dogs were involved in a horrific car crash. Tobie was lost in the desert after the crash for 24 hours. Tobie survived the crash and her night in the desert with just a few scratches.

Being reunited with Elicia, Tobie won the hearts of people all over the world with her ability to overcome a tragic experience and still be successful competing in agility. Elicia and Tobie won the United States Dog Agility Association's Grand Prix of Dog Agility World Championships in 2014 and the opportunity to represent Team USA in Italy this year.

Tobie continues to inspire others and Elicia looks forward to their journey together in Italy.
