A message from USDAA President Kenneth Tatsch from this month's Overview newsletter.
I would like to thank everyone who pitched in to assure the success of Cynosport® 2015. There are simply too many people to name here, but we have tried to recognize them both at the event and in surrounding coverage. This group always includes a number of people who attend just to volunteer, making the trip a destination for both enjoyment and fulfillment of their sense of commitment to dog agility. Having knowledgeable support in key roles at this event, as with any event, is certainly appreciated by all. To each of you, an extra special thanks.
I also want to thank our sponsors this year Zuke's, Glyco Flex and Max 200 for their support and help in making this a great event for every competitor. I extend my congratulations to all the tournament finalists and medalists too, who are listed in our news coverage of the event on www.usdaa.com.
Event results are still available on the event web site at www.cynosport.com, and on-demand video is available through cynosport.tv.
It was my pleasure at Cynosport 2015 to welcome seven people into the Dog Agility Hall of Fame! Cynosport 2015 to welcome seven people into the Dog Agility Hall of Fame! On the international front, Jory Freimann was recognized for his pioneering spirit and support in Costa Rica. Inductees to the Hall of Fame for meritorious service included long-time supporters Renee Culpepper from Louisiana and Rafael Quinones of Puerto Rico.
Stuart Mah, previously named a Pioneer of Dog Agility, was recognized for his Championship Diamond Lifetime Achievement Award with his dog Ares.
Preparations are already underway for Cynosport® 2016, to be held in Scottsdale, Arizona, November 9-13. Scottsdale was always a favorite destination for competitors nationwide (2004 2009), and we hope all will try to make the trip westward. We also have some special events coming up in 2016.
