This month's message from USDAA President Ken Tatsch.
This week, Team USA will be at the IFCS World Agility Championships in the Netherlands, featuring some 200 top competitors from more than 15 countries. We want to extend our thanks to every team member for all the hard work in preparation for this event, and we wish them all luck! You can follow results on the usdaa.com news page and on Facebook.
Fundraising for Team USA is a year-round endeavor as the financial demands of travel to international events continues to grow. You can help support the team through charitable donations and ease their financial burden so they can focus on a safe journey for themselves and their canine teammates. Each team member funds their own travel if sufficient funds are not available. Your donations are tax deductible thanks to USDAA's creation of the United States Association of Cynological Sports (USACS), a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity. Simply visit donate2dogsports.org, the official USACS web site.
Depending on your level of charitable contribution, you can receive a Team USA lapel pin, recognition as a Friends of Team USA sponsor, or more. Your support is greatly appreciated.
With all thats happening, be sure to mark your calendar to participate in the inaugural USDAA Title Mania® event June 16-19, 2016, as we join with hundreds of other sporting events in celebration of Olympic Day. Title Mania is the first sports event involving dogs to participate. What makes Title Mania different for the competitor is that it is based upon consistency and qualifications over twelve rounds of competition, rather than strict head-to-head competition on a given course. You can compete for multiple "dog of the year" honors in one of USDAA's three programs, as well as the opportunity to earn multiple titles. It's a true titling extravaganza!
We also invite competitors from other venues to take advantage of this opportunity to prove their mettle. Competitors can enter any level for special Title Mania awards. Find the full details and entry forms at USDAATitleMania.com and follow developments on our Facebook page.
In the coming month, four regional championships leading to the Cynosport World Games in Scottsdale, Arizona will get underway across the United States and in Japan. The complete list of Regional Championships, continuing through September, is on the usdaa.com event calendar.
