Ms. Gloor judged in Scottsdale last year and was also in charge of scheduling workers. She's doing both again this year!
Karen lives in Chandler, Arizona, and has been judging USDAA events for 12 years. She's married to Jeff and is the mother of two daughters, Danielle (Dani), who is almost four, and Erin, who is two.
BF: What do you do for a living?
KG: [I'm a] Senior Technical Writer for a telephone company.
BF: Tell me about your dogs.
KG: One dog...Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever named Jam (Jam-a-lam, Jammie, Baby Dog). She'll be a year old on November 2nd!
BF: What skills are you looking for exhibitors to use when you design courses for events like this one?
KG: I tend to design courses that are somewhat technical and require some handling skills in order to get through cleanly. Often times I'll design courses that look deceptively easy, but when they are set up in the ring, the subtle challenges are what handlers need to handle around.
BF: Do you have any comments?
KG: I wish everyone the best of luck and I look forward to seeing you in my ring!
