In week 3 of the league, many of the junior handlers met the game of Snooker for the first time.  Look below to see how they all did.

Week one, October 21

The Bloomington Obedience Training Club Junior Handler Agility League has a few less players than we have in the past, but we having a great time!  Our group for this league term consists of six handlers and eight dogs.  We have a Basset Hound, a Mini Long-haired Daschund, a Boston Terrier, a Rat Terrier, a Field Spaniel, a Cocker Spaniel, and two Standard Poodles.  We have an even split between 4-H and non-4-H members.  Five are enrolled at the Beginer/Elementary level, two at the Intermediate level, and one is in Senior.

October 21st was the first of six league matches scheduled to be held this fall.  Our judge for the evening was Karl Reimer (a MN 4-H judge with experience judging USDAA Junior Handler classes as well).  We finished early this evening because none of our Intermediate or Senior dogs were present, and therefore we only needed to build the Beginner/Elementary and game courses!  The results for each run are listed below.

Leona Hellesvig has been engaged in dog sports since toddlerhood.  She is very involved with junior handlers and 4-H in Minnesota.  When not participating in dog activities, Leona is an elementary school music teacher.
