Veterans Program Classes
Veterans level classes offered at this event are open to a competitor with any dog that is at least eight (8) years of age as of the first day of this event. Previous experience in the sport sufficient to establish proficiency and confidence in performance is strongly encouraged. Masters Challenge Classes - Championship & Performance
EFFECTIVE FOR SHOWS CLOSING AFTER JANUARY 1, 2013
All dogs - regardless of level of competition - are eligible for entry in the Masters Challenge classes and to earn qualifying scores. These qualifying scores will remain on the dog's record and calculate toward Masters Challenge titles once the dog achieves the Masters Standard / Masters Performance Standard and Masters Jumpers / Masters Performance Jumpers titles.
Additionally, these dogs continue to be eligible for their appropriate level in the regular classes at all levels, unless stipulated otherwise in the Agility Test Schedule. Competitive placements in the Masters Challenge Standard and Jumpers classes accumulate points for annual ranking for Agility Top TenSM and Performance Top TenSM.
Masters Challenge Qualification for 2013 Handlers Challenge Biathlon
At both local and regional events, a qualifying score in the Masters Challenge Standard or Jumpers (Performance included) will make a dog eligible for entry in the 2013 Cynosport World Games Handlers Challenge Biathlon being offered for Championship and Performance. So that any dog may compete in this special Cynosport tournament, the Masters Challenge class rules have been modified to allow a dog at any level of competition to enter. Further details can be found at www.usdaa.com.
Regional Masters Challenge Biathlon Tournament
As outlined above, all dogs - regardless of level of competition - are eligible to enter the Masters Challenge classes at show closing after January 1, 2013. A new tournament, the Handlers Challenge Biathlon, will be offered at the 2013 Cynosports World Games. Eligibility to enter the Handlers Challenge Biathlon at Cynosports requires a qualification in either MC Standard or MC Jumpers (Championship or Performance). As an alternative to Masters Challenge qualification, dogs earning a semifinal bye for Cynosports in both Grand Prix and Steeplechase or Performance GP and Speed Jumping will be eligible to enter the Handlers Challenge Biathlon at Cynosport. At this regional event, the Masters Challenge Standard and Jumpers scores in both the Championship and Performance Programs will be converted to time plus faults. These scores will be combined to determine placements for the special Masters Challenge Biathlon awards. No separate entry for the Biathlon is necessary; entering the MC classes automatically makjes the dog eligible for the MC Biathlon awards outlined elsewhere in this document.
Team & Versatility Pairs Measure-up Policy - FEO
The handler of a dog entered in Team or Versatility Pairs that is required to jump a higher height by virtue of the judge's measurement must notify the secretary immediately. Should the higher jump height make the dog ineligible for their team (three jump heights), the secretary will make every effort to form complete teams from available dogs. The dog may not be moved to Versatility Pairs.
In the event the competitor is unprepared to run their dog at the higher jump height, they may run in the tournament For Exhibition Only. No member of the Team or Pair may earn a tournament qualification, but Team or Pairs partners are eligible for individual placements, tournament top ten points and Lifetime Achievement Qs in the individual tournament classes.

Group Rotation
A Group Rotation method will be used to move competitors through the Saturday Tournament classes at this event. Each handler and their dogs will be assigned to one of two groups. If you are handling a dog for another owner, this must be indicated on the entry form so that all of the dogs you are running will be assigned to the same group. Group rotations may be used on Sunday should entry numbers warrant it. The Group Rotation, walk-through, and class schedule will be available with your final confirmation. For example: Mary entered Fancy in 26", Score in 12" and Smoothie in 16" and has been assigned Group A for the tournament classes in which the dogs are entered. Mary will walk these courses during the time allotted and will run when Group A is scheduled to run. At no time should Mary be scheduled to walk or run in two rings at the same time for Tournaments. The exception is that Mary could have a dog in the Starter/Advanced Ring for titling classes and could conflict with a Tournament class. We will adjust for these Starter/Advanced exceptions.
Dog Measurements & Certification
All dogs not jumping 26" in the Championship Program or 22" in the Performance Program must be measured unless they have a permanent USDAA or World Cynosport Dog Registration card or a temporary card with 3 signatures as required by the regulations, making the dog eligible for their jump height (prior to 3 years of age). When not enrolling electronically, please send a copy of one the following items to facilitate the check-in process:
- photocopy of permanent dog registration card,
- printout of the dog-information page from your USDAA® competitor web account, or
- copy of your check-in letter from USDAA indicating your temporary card has been accepted by the USDAA office and your permanent registration card is in process.
Check-in Times
Check-in is required. You must have your temporary measurement card, USDAA issued check-in letter, or Permanent USDAA height card to check-in. All dogs not jumping 26"in the Championship Program or 22" in the Performance Program must be measured, unless they have a PERMANENT USDAA Dog Registration Card or a temporary card with 3 signatures as required by regulations, making the dog eligible for their jump height - Thursday: Dogs not requiring measurement may check in from 4:30 - 6 pm.
- Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 - 7:30 AM Check-in and Measuring. Please respect the check -in time.
- Self Check-in will be available for those who submitted a copy of the PERMANENT card for the dog. You must sign the self-check-in sheet.
A Dog that Measures Up at Check-In - May Run FEO
If a judge's measurement of a dog at check-in establishes that the dog is ineligible for the height class in which entered, the competitor may opt to run the dog in the lower jump height class "For Exhibition Only", and no awards or qualifying scores may be earned. The competitor may not change their entry from one program to another (e.g., from Championship to Performance).
Regional - Special Measuring
Competitors whose dog has a temporary height card MUST have the dog measured prior to checking in at any Regional Championship event or Cynosport® World Games in order to confirm that the dog is eligible for the height entered.
If the dog measures up, the competitor must jump the dog at the higher jump height in all classes regardless of the jump height in which the dog earned its qualifications. If the competitor had a bye at the lower height, the bye is forfeited, and the competitor must compete in all rounds that may have been bypassed as a result of the bye.
