Standard course time rates revised as Masters Challenge program gets underway.
Time standards for the Masters Challenge classes have been amended, effective January 1, 2012. The time standards originally announced for the MC classes were not appreciably different from those used in IHC, which were originally designed to rank competitors for world team selection. For this purpose, standards were very tight, such that even top placements might incur time penalties, encouraging contenders to push to the limit.
As a result, time standards have been amended to the following:
|Masters Challenge Standard Class|
3.25 - 3.75 yps
3.50 - 4.00 yps
22" & 26"
3.75 - 4.25 yps
*Note that the Absolute Minimum is .25 yps below the operating range. This is to
permit the judge to adjust for unusual circumstances that might exist relative to the
site (e.g., ground conditions)
|Masters Challenge Jumpers Class|
4.00 - 4.50 yps
4.25 - 4.75 yps
22" & 26"
4.50 - 5.00 yps
For Performance Program versions of these classes, three (3) seconds is added to the standard course time using the above standards.
