Please welcome our new Starters/Advanced and Masters level judges.
After four days of lectures, continual Q & A, designing courses, discussing and tweaking the courses designed the night before, taking a three-hour written test, numerous scoring tests and actually judging dogs in trial setting, we're proud to welcome the following people into the ranks of official USDAA Judges:
Starters/Advanced (under supervision)
- Ken Boyd
- Jan Skurzynski
- Patricia Toro
- Chris Tucci
Masters (under supervision)
- Courtney Keys
- Barbara Standiford
USDAA Rules and Course Design Clinics are a great way to test your knowledge of the sport and gain a completely different perspective and appreciation for what goes into designing a course and judging.
The next clinic is scheduled for June 30 through July 3 in St. Cloud, MN. The application is already online
and the clinic is starting to fill. This clinic will also satisfy the Continuing Education component for judges who attend on Thursday and Friday. We're working on scheduling another clinic later in the year in Mexico.
Whether you want to be a judge or not, Course Design Clinics also help you "up your game" from a competitor's viewpoint. It's time well spent to learn every aspect of this sport we love so much.
Congratulations to our new judges, thank you to all the judges who attended the clinic for continuing education and a special thank to every judge who spends their weekends judging our dogs!
