Regional Championships get underway this month with the first event in Japan. Events continue through September.
The regional championships for the 2007 USDAA championships held in conjunction with the Cynosport World Games get underway May 19 in Japan. More than 200 competitors have qualified in local qualifiers throughout Southeast Asia, and competitors from Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and possibly Korea will be on hand at the Shiga Diamond Resort in Japan next weekend.
North American regional championships get underway in June, with the first events held in Perry, Georgia and continue through the summer, with the final event being in Michigan the third weekend in September.
Two "Type 2" regional championships are being held in Spain on June 2, and in Mexico on September 15-16. At these events, competitors may advance to the World Semifinals, but no slot is assigned to the World Finals. See Championship tournament rules for more details.
