Lincolnshire started it all......
This year USDAA celebrates 20 years of the Grand Prix tournament. Across the pond in England there's another celebration, but with ten years up on us.
Thirty years ago the Lincolnshire GSD & All Breeds Training Society presented dog agility to the world for the first time at Crufts. The event was patterned after horse show jumping, but some very clever gentlemen developed some innnovative ways to showcase the athletic ability of their canine friends.
To mark this momentous occasion and to celebrate the explosive growth of the sport, Dave Roberts with LGSD&ABTS is preparing a 'Congratulatory' display at their event being held this September 29th and 30th. USDAA president, Kenneth Tatsch, plans to join LGSD&ABTS in this celebration.
We encourage each USDAA affiliate to send a letter of congratulations and thanks to LGSD&ABTS via email to Dave Roberts at firstname.lastname@example.org. Your club's letter will be proudly displayed.
Don't miss this opportunity to express appreciation to the true pioneers of dog agility for their inventiveness and hard work in making the sport we have come to love a reality.
