A look back at this year's Subscriber News.
In 2007, USDAA subscribers read about a variety of subjects on the Subscriber News page. Reports described records set, announced special titles earned, and offered course analysis from some of the year's most exciting events. Course maps and instructions were included for exercises and practice courses for competitors of all skill levels. Nested courses were provided to assist instructors. Training articles offered guidance on different challenges.
There were interviews of competitors at the top of our sport, and many who had interesting accomplishments or tips to share. There were stories about dogs and handlers who overcame the odds to enjoy all agility has to offer. Trainers described their experiences training unusual breeds of dogs, or shared their opinions on sometimes controversial topics like removing dogs from the ring when things go wrong.
Games were provided to help teach agility skills or to make agility classes orparties more fun. The junior handler program was well represented and league play was explained. Just-for-fun stories described embarrassing in-ring moments and judges' favorite experiences. There were many training and trialing tips, and quotes from wise instructors and competitors. The latest books and DVDs were reviewed to help readers make informed purchases. There was extensive coverage of the 2007 World Cynosport Games, which included some special subscriber-only articles.
