Hall of Fame - Introduction

Thank you for visiting the USDAA Hall of Fame. In the early 1990’s, the USDAA Board of Directors established the framework for a Hall of Fame to recognize those who have contributed to the sport’s development and growth, regionally and/or nationally. Those whose contributions are deemed to be of lasting significance through service and/or performance to USDAA and the sport would be recognized through induction into the Hall of Fame.

The Dog Agility Hall of Fame has three broad categories:

"Pioneers of Dog Agility"—Individuals or groups whose contributions to development of the sport of dog agility are deemed to have lasting significance. 

"Meritorious Service"—Individual or groups who have contributed significantly as volunteers to USDAA and or its affiliated groups.  Such contributions include but are not limited to dedicated and sustained efforts for continuance and advancement of the sport, or whose contributions of service have made a lasting, positive and inspiring mark on the sport.

"Volunteer of the Year"—Individuals who have contributed freely to the service of others at the local, regional, or national level.

Past directors and other individuals deemed to have the experience necessary to provide them with both a current and historical perspective and fairly assess the future impact of past and present accomplishments and contributions deemed to be of lasting significance are named to a Hall of Fame Committee by the USDAA Board of Directors.  

The HOF Committee reviews nominations annually to evaluate the merits of nominees and to establish whether their accomplishments or contributions are impactful to the sport, regionally or nationally, and whether they are of lasting significance. The Hall of Fame Committee evaluates, accepts or rejects the nominations, or tables a nominee for a future year. 

Anyone may nominate a person using the HOF Nomination form that may be found in the Forms & Documents Library.  Nominations must be received no later than September 1 for consideration in the current year.
