Rules & Competition Standards Board

The USDAA Rules & Competition Standards Board is charged with recommendations relative to competitive rules, regulations, polices, and procedures for USDAA certification and competition programs, consistent with USDAA's mission of promoting competitive excellence in amateur recreational and international sport for dogs.

Policies and procedures are periodically reviewed and established in cooperation with USDAA executive and administrative staff to maintain systematic and equitable operational processes and procedures for events.

Communications to the Advisory Board should include—

  • Identification of the policy, procedure, rule, or regulation to be addressed
  • Statement of question or description of the issue being raised
  • Statement of basis and rationale for any proposal being made

If making a proposal, also—

  • Identify the potential benefits to the organization, groups, and competitors
  • Identify any potential unintended consequences with possible detrimental effect to the organization, groups, or competitors that may result from adopting such proposal
  • Explain how the proposal meets USDAA's mission for promoting competitive excellence in amateur recreational and international sports
