USDAA Welcomes New Administrative and Executive Assistant
Meet Taylor Beers!
USDAA has a new face in the home office: Taylor Beers, administrative and executive assistant. A self-proclaimed "Navy brat" who traveled a lot with her family when she was young, Taylor largely grew up in East Texas and received her associate degree from Austin Community College. She has recently returned to Dallas, Texas, after living in London, U.K., for four years.
Taylor worked with dogs in several ways while she was in London. She was furloughed during pandemic lockdowns and picked up dog walking to keep busy. When the world reopened, she became a manager for the local Dandie Dog Café, which offered all-day dining and special events for dogs and dog lovers. She later became an assistant for an organization that found retired Greyhounds forever homes after racing.
Taylor received her Pet Dog Training Instructors (PDTI) Level 1 certification in 2022. Since moving back to the U.S., she has started pursuing her bachelor's degree and taken on a more corporate role in the dog world. Although she currently has no dogs of her own, she hopes to get one once she’s more settled from the move. In the meantime, she enjoys helping others with pet-sitting.
“I jumped into my new role at USDAA these past couple months and have loved learning about every aspect of the company and agility as a sport,” she said. “I look forward to getting to know our athletes and supporters!”
