Plano, Texas — June 2025 — The Cynosport® Dog Agility World Games Presented by Purina® Pro Plan® is set to return to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, bringing together hundreds of dogs and dog lovers competing for coveted championship titles at the Tennessee Miller Coliseum (304B West Thompson Lane), October 15-19. Hosted by the United States Dog Agility Association Inc.® (USDAA®), this prestigious competition will feature the nation’s best in dog agility who qualified to compete from around the country and internationally, as well as top Tennessee competitors.
USDAA first introduced the Cynosport World Games in 2003 in Dallas, Texas, bringing together a variety of dog agility tournaments, including the Grand Prix of Dog Agility®, the longest running tournament in North America, the Dog Agility Steeplechase® and the Dog Agility Masters® 3-Dog Team Championships.
With the event now in its 22nd year, competitors will be battling for the sport’s most coveted title in the Purina Pro Plan Grand Prix of Dog Agility World Championship, more than $10,000 in prize money in the Purina Pro Plan Dog Agility Steeplechase, and championship titles and prizes in the Purina Pro Plan Dog Agility Masters® Pairs, 3-Dog Team and Strategic Games Championships, and the Purina Pro Plan Masters Challenge Biathlon℠ championships.
Spectators are also invited to watch a Fast CAT® (Coursing Ability Test) event – a 100-yard dash where dogs race individually, chasing a lure and competing for the fastest time – hosted by the Murfreesboro Obedience Training Club on October 18 and 19.
Local Beesley Animal Foundation is important partner
Since Cynosport was first held at the Tennessee Miller Coliseum in 2013, USDAA has coordinated with the Beesley Animal Foundation and other local volunteer groups, providing outreach opportunities for these local organizations and making financial contributions to their causes.
“It really is neat to have an event like this in our town every other October,” said Katie Peachey, Beesley’s grants and marketing administrator. “Our volunteers consistently tell us how much they enjoy being part of something so different and fast-paced. One person couldn’t believe how impressive the canine athletes were; another noted how friendly and appreciative the USDAA staff is toward the community showing its support. The event is fun, high-energy and unlike anything else happening in our area — it’s always a hit!”
The 2025 Cynosport Dog Agility World Games presented by Purina Pro Plan opens Wednesday, October 15, and features five days of world-class competition with tournament series finals on Saturday and Sunday. The USDAA welcomes any dog enthusiast looking to support the hard-working teams competing at the Tennessee Miller Coliseum; admission is FREE to the public. The thrilling action starts daily at approximately 9 a.m. in multiple rings.
