Billie-Rosen-HOF

Billie Rosen of Phoenix, Ariz., has been a pioneer in the Arizona agility scene since the early 1990s. While her initial involvement was through small demos and classes with Phoenix Field and Obedience Club, Billie soon realized it was time to start a standalone club that focused solely on agility. She was the spearhead behind the creation of Jumping Chollas Agility Club (JCAC) in 1994. JCAC is a member-driven club that trains its students for all agility venues. Billie was the training director and show chair for the first 25 years of JCAC’s existence and saw the club grow to over 180 members.

During the past 28 years, Billie has competed with eight of her dogs in USDAA and achieved Lifetime Achievement Awards with several. Billie started her career running Miniature Schnauzers. Kara, her first Schnauzer, was the first dog to earn an agility title in Arizona. Over the past 15-plus years, Billie switched to competing with Border Terriers, and her dog Klev’r was successful in earning LAA Gold.

Billie caught the agility bug early and worked tirelessly to ensure that the Phoenix area would not only become an active agility location but remain one for decades to come.
