Harry Guticz - 2018 - Pioneer of Dog Agility
Harry Guticz was a true Pioneer of Dog Agility. USDAA was his first agility love and his favorite. In 1988, he drove 10 hours from his home in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Dallas, Texas, for the first USDAA judging clinic. Quiet and reserved, he was as impassioned as one could be. He became a judge and was engaged coast to coast for more than 25 years.
Harry had a flair for course design and understood the sport as well as anyone. His group in Lincoln helped promote interest and grow the sport in the Central United States. He lost his battle with cancer and passed away in 2018.
