Karen Gloor - 2022 - Pioneer of Dog Agility
Karen Gloor was one of the original members of Good Dog Agility, a local Arizona club founded in 1993, and instructed handling classes there in the early years. She has competed with various dogs including a Beagle, Italian Greyhounds and Tollers. She currently competes with a variety of mixed/sport breeds.
In addition to competing, Karen is a long-time USDAA judge and trial secretary. She was so meticulous at this important job, she became the trial secretary for most of the USDAA shows in Arizona and has been the Trial Secretary Extraordinaire for the Wild West Regional for the past five years.
Karen has supervised and mentored numerous new judges and serves as a course reviewer for USDAA. She was also the volunteer coordinator for many Cynosport® events in Scottsdale, where she successfully scheduled and oversaw more than 100 volunteers for seven rings of agility.
Recently, Karen served on the USDAA Advisory Board and contributed significantly by helping to update the rules and regulations, modify qualifications for Cynosport, and make important changes to course design standards and equipment specifications.
Karen truly loves agility and has dedicated over 25 years to USDAA, playing a major role in making the sport what it is today in Arizona and nationally.
