Tim Verrelli - 2016 - Meritorious Service

Tim Verrelli - Meritorious Service AwardTim Verrelli was named to the USDAA Hall of Fame for his meritorious contributions as a judge, competitor, software provider and course reviewer.

As a software developer by profession, Tim knew there had to be an easier way to manage agility trail secretary data. In 1997 he wrote a program to simplify the various processes for his wife, Kellie, who was a trial secretary in Florida. Before long, several clubs around the country started using the AGTSec Software to help with their own trial secretary duties.

In 2005, USDAA adopted the program after Tim demonstrated its many advantages; he volunteered to score at the nationals that year and did all the scoring electronically in parallel to verify that he arrived at the same results completed at ringside while also catching scoring mistakes. The software has been used at the USDAA nationals ever since. The software is currently in use by more than 300 clubs to support USDAA, IFCS, and other organizations.

Tim and Kellie live on a 19-acre ranch in Watertown, Tenn., with their Scottish terriers, a Pumi, and a Mudi; they offer agility classes, fun runs, seminars and the occasional sanctioned trial. The couple are both agility judges and have judged internationally in Spain, Australia, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Canada and Bermuda.
