Dave Hanson - 2014 - Meritorious Service

For more than 20 years, Dave Hanson and Tim Laubach contributed to the dog agility community as judges, course designers, instructors and to train future officials, course builders and competitors. They have done it all, earning them USDAA® Meritorious Service awards in 2014. During Cynosport® World Games, they work tirelessly to ensure every course is built to the exact same specifications, and they do it with a smile on their faces. In some years that meant working until 4 a.m. to make sure the courses were built, staked and ready to run when the competitors arrived to walk at 6:30 a.m.

Over the years, both men were instrumental course designers, ensuring the appropriate challenges were presented at all titling levels. They served as Co-Chief Course Builders for many years at the Grand Prix Championships and Cynosport Games. Their time, dedication and passion to the sport provided 24-inch spacing in the weave poles, as well as safe and fun courses to compete on.
