This year’s Cynosport® World Games presented by Purina® Pro Plan® welcomed more than just hard-working agility competitors vying for prestigious tournament titles. USDAA also hosted a World Cynosport Rally Limited (WCRL) event in conjunction with CynoLogic Dog Sports of San Tan Valley, Arizona, as well as dock diving with North America Diving Dogs (NADD), disc dog (flying disc) with Anthem Disc Dogs Club, and an Agility 101 ring.

Anthem Disc Dogs Club hosted more than 65 individual teams for their weekend event, with competitors ranging from brand-new players to the current World Disc Champion.

Meanwhile, NADD’s Mountain West Mobile Dock was available for everyone to try between Splashes throughout the weekend. Dock operators Jody and Tracey Hudson of Grand Junction, Colorado, welcomed more than 320 rounds including some day-of entries.

Paula Miloglav-Recco and C-YA at Cynosport 2024 - 500Paula Miloglav-Recco traveled from Tyngsboro, Massachusetts, to Cynosport with her two Rottweilers, Garnet, almost 12, and C-YA, almost 7.5 years old. Garnet, who has been competing in agility since she was 15 months old, competed in the Veterans Showcase at Cynosport this year. “She is the second Rottweiler to ever get an ADCH in USDAA and the first Rottweiler to ever earn metallic, and she just earned her LAA Gold last month,” Paula said.

C-YA, on the other hand, loves dock diving and started competing about three years ago. Paula recounted her excitement when they first arrived at the Kino Sports Complex: “I came to park the golf cart and she was going, ‘I’m getting off the golf cart; I know exactly where the pool is.’ Right to the pool!”

“We get lots of compliments on her form when she jumps,” Paula added. "C-YA’s personal best jump to date is 22 feet, 7 inches. She has a very big jump into the air to land into the pool. She’s fun to watch.”
