Our journey began with Charlie, John Davies’ chocolate Labrador. Charlie was slowing down on walks and wasn’t excited to play anymore. John tried everything available, but Charlie was still stiff. When he couldn’t jump onto his favorite couch anymore, John knew he had to do more to help. He teamed up with nutritional scientist Dr. John Howie, and they set out to create something better. After searching the globe for the most effective natural ingredients, researching processing and testing each one, they created YuMOVE.

We are dedicated to sustainability and traceability. We have worked hard to identify the specific bays in New Zealand that provide the best possible conditions to produce mussels to the highest standard, delivering the most Omega 3s and glycosaminoglycans. Our relationships with the farmers that harvest ActivEase go back over 10 years, so we always know where they’ve come from and can trust the quality.
To process our green lipped mussel, we use vacuum extraction with minimal heat to protect the mussel and produce a high-quality, highly concentrated product. Many other extraction methods can damage the quality significantly. Every batch is tested to ensure it reaches our high standards; anything that doesn’t meet that standard isn’t used. This means that you can always be 100% confident in the quality of the Green Lipped Mussel in YuMOVE.
