Founded in 2017, Boundless Junior Agility Camp (BJAC) is the largest seminar-style gathering of agility junior handlers in the United States. BJAC aims to inspire participants to become stronger competitors and sportspeople, both on and off the agility course, which will arm them with the skills they will need to compete nationally and internationally. As BJAC prepares for its eighth year of operation in 2024, it continues to expand opportunities for junior handlers in pursuit of accessibility and growth.

The BJAC organization believes that nobody should be excluded from learning agility due to personal finances. Through scholarships and year-round grants, BJAC works to make the sport of agility more accessible to all. Every year, BJAC offers multiple scholarships to ensure that every junior handler who wants to attend camp has a chance to do so. The scholarship application is open to all and requires thoughtful answers to essay prompts. BJAC selects scholarship recipients based on strength of character, commitment to agility and demonstrated desire to learn.

In addition to scholarships, BJAC is developing creative and transformative initiatives to expand access to agility. The Boundless Education Grant is designed to provide junior handlers with financial support for educational opportunities outside of camp, including competition entry fees, online classes, seminars or equipment. BJAC offers a fall, winter and spring cycle for the Boundless Education Grant, so junior handlers have many opportunities to apply.

To support juniors on a local level, BJAC launched the Boundless Accessibility Initiative, which encourages agility clubs to offer discounts to juniors. The initiative operates by directly funding local agility clubs and large events so they can offer lower entry fees for junior handlers. BJAC hopes to make competing and titling in agility more accessible to young people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford it. BJAC is committed to increasing accessibility in our sport and is grateful for the support of the agility community in pursuing this goal.
