Agility Top 10 Rankings Showcase Skills
Balancing fundamental skills and speed

There are those who think agility is about speed, and there are those who think it is all about fun and games. Neither is wrong, but the basis of all sports, whether it is football, golf, or dog agility is developing, maintaining, and applying a set of fundamental skills required for each sport.
In all sports, the top athletes know the importance of building skills and cross training. And this is just one reason that USDAA stands apart from other agility leagues. Our programs were developed to provide avenues for skill development and maintenance through the titling program, allowing participants to excel by learning to apply those skills in tournament competition.
It isn’t about just going fast, but perfecting skills to maneuver, turn tighter, and correctly navigate a variety of obstacle configurations while running with speed. USDAA recognizes that once the proper set of skills are mastered, speed comes more naturally.
While the principal skills are tested in the titling classes, the application of those skills is tested more prominently in head-to-head competition, where there is often more variety in the course designs. Having a solid arsenal of skills provides a distinct advantage.
To recognize excellence, USDAA ranks competitors annually, naming top the Top 10 in each of the individual Masters classes, in the Masters Challenge Program, and in tournaments overall.
